How Jeromes Started

Founded in 1975, Jerome’s Collision Center is named after our founder and original owner, Jerome Lundeen. Our roots in the auto body business, however, go back one more generation, to Jerome’s dad, who also had a shop. All in all, we represent three generations and more than 60 years repairing vehicles in Minot.

A Family Business From the Start…

In 1975, we were just 3 employees working in just over 3,000 square feet. Today, we’re a team of 38 working out of our state of the art shop on Minot’s North Hill with over 34,000 square feet of office and shop.

The Keys to Our Success… It’s Not About Fixing Cars.

One of the early lessons Jerome taught his son, Jay — now owner and manager of Jerome’s – was this: Treat people with respect, operate with integrity and you’ll do fine. Today this principle is our bedrock and with all of our experience, what we’ve come to understand is this…the auto body repair business is as much about building relationships as it is about fixing cars.

Accidents happen, it’s a part of life. At Jerome’s, our goal is to help get your car and your life back on the road, both literally and metaphorically. It’s a goal that forces us to do more than fix your vehicle. It requires to us to regularly ask what can we be doing to improve your repair experience.  From rides, to after-hour drop-offs, to working with you to schedule an after-hours repair estimate or helping you find your way through the fine details of an auto-insurance policy. At Jerome’s Collision Center, you can count on having a friend on your side as you navigate the process.

Jay - Owner/GM

Jay, a native of Minot, began working for his father (Jerome's founder) in the summers, during high school. Graduating from MSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing, Jay started full-time at Jerome’s in 1990 and has been in the collision business for over 25 years. He is known professionally as a problem-solver; for superior communication, determination and for his commitment to the customer experience. Jay is passionate about team building and ensuring the future success of Jerome's. A true community leader, Jay is on the Board of Regents at Minot State University. He is also active in Rotary Club and volunteers with several nonprofit organizations throughout the community. Jay is very proud of the Jerome's team, and all they do to build and sustain Jerome’s Collision as the largest collision center in North Dakota. Jay is also happily married and is raising three beautiful children with his wife. He would like to be remembered as a person that left the community a better place, as well as someone who treated everyone with respect.

Josh - Assistant GM

A life-long resident of Minot, Josh has been working for Jerome’s for the last dozen years. Over the years, Josh has held many positions at Jerome's Collision, working his way up from detail technician to jobs in the paint, assembly, production and estimating departments, to his current job as assistant general manager. Josh’s number one priority is to take care of Jerome's customers. In his off hours, Josh enjoys spending time with his family at the lake. He is also a volunteer firefighter and fire captain in Burlington. He was named firefighter of the year in 2013.

Ben - SR. Repair Planner

Ben is a transplant from Salt Lake City, who has worked in the collision industry for over eight years. Dedicated to helping the entire team grow to their fullest potential, Ben is well known for his honesty and desire to serve his fellow man. When he's away from the job, Ben can be found spending time with his family or snowboarding. Ben also donates religiously to United Blood Services.

Rhonda - Accounting Supervisor

An MSU graduate and 16 year veteran of Jerome's, Rhonda has a knack for problem solving, along with superior customer service skills. Rhonda always strives to provide Jerome's clients with the highest level of customer service. She is kind, friendly, loves to laugh (and make others laugh) and, of course, an incredible knack for numbers!

In her spare time, Rhonda can be found playing softball, reading, traveling or just hanging out at the lake. This mother of two is also a longtime volunteer at Rehabilitation Services Inc. She'd like people to remember her for her fun-loving nature.

Dez - Team Mascot

Dez might just be the most beloved member of the Jerome's team. By the time he was15 months old, he already weighed-in at an impressive165 lbs. But despite his massive body, this English Mastiff big-boy is all charm and heart. Dez enjoys coming to work with Jay, spending time with Jerome's family, cuddles, long naps, play-time and working on his chew-toy technique. A naturally sociable and loving animal, there's no such thing as a "bad day" when Dez is around!
